Designing a Traditional Kitchen
Traditional kitchens are visually elegant and have a refined appearance. They create a homey and inviting atmosphere. The design incorporates heavy overlay, paneling and moldings. They incorporate whites, grays, and other coloring such as neutral and earthy tones.
These kitchens often times encompass subway tile as back splash. We love to use countertops with more movement in traditional kitchen designs.

Traditional Kitchen Inspiration Designs
We love that this kitchen offers an open and inviting feeling. The cabinet doors are have an opaque enamel with glaze giving them a beautifully elegant finish. The island helps the kitchen pop by providing it with a dark walnut tone contrasting the rest of the kitchen.
Another Look at Traditional Kitchens

Here is another example of traditional kitchen design work we’ve done at McLain Designs. The island is a custom color that offers a fun color pop in contrast to the rest of the white kitchen cabinetry. As seen in the photo above and below the hanging cabinetry has crown molding on-top which holds true to traditional kitchen design.
Hidden Gems
Some of the hidden gems in this kitchen are the stained glass paneling in the cabinetry. This is a very traditional style that also offers homeowners a way to make their kitchen more customizable. The stain glass paneling is interchangeable.
There’s also a nook which provides a coffee station and additional storage place. These cabinets are custom colored to match the island.
One other hidden gem in this kitchen is the counter outlet. We designed an outlet that hides cords as best as possible. There is a swanky topper to keep debris from entering inside the cabinet. This will for sure be one of your new favorite kitchen must haves.
