Farmhouse Kitchen

Designing a Farmhouse Kitchen

Take yourself back to a simpler time with a farmhouse kitchen design. These designs incorporate elements of natural material along with accessories. The magic is truly in the details.

These kitchen often provide large areas for functionality such as cooking or storage. They’re not just visually pleasing, they’re created to be used.

Take a Closer Look

In this farmhouse kitchen we love its classic white look with popping dark hardware and accessories. Our favorite feature of this kitchen is the ladder. All of the “farming” style accessories give the kitchen it’s own unique feel. Let’s not forget about the big farmhouse kitchen sink. Who doesn’t want a giant sink?

Farmhouse Kitchen with a Transitional Twist

Transitional Farmhouse Kitchens Combines the Best of Both Worlds

Love the farmhouse kitchen style but wanting something more modern? Check out this farmhouse kitchen we designed that incorporates a transitional twist. As you can see this farmhouse keeps the same feel by keeping the iconic large farmhouse sink. The island utilizes shiplap to capture the farmhouse look yet it also pushes for a modern design with its clean lines and trendy popularity.

The wide planks from the island and flooring give a vintage farmhouse feel but the backsplash incorporates subway tiling which is more of a modern feel. Meanwhile the chevron designed backsplash frames in the beautiful modern stove and range. The transition of utilizing both styles of kitchens has offered the homeowners the best of both worlds.
